La Fille Colette was created for a feminine and strong woman who seeks versatile, polished pieces to take her from day to night. Our mission is to produce exciting and elevated garments that retain an easy-to-wear accessibility.

Colette Chrétien is the designer and founder of La Fille Colette, and is based out of Boston. In her designs, Colette draws inspiration from art movements, and lately has been exploring op art. Her interest in geometric shapes, the play of intersecting lines, and the pairing of unexpected colors is evidenced in her graphic collection.

Colette has been studying fine art as well as designing dresses from a very young age. She began as a toddler, dreaming up decadent princess ball gowns rendered in crayon, and later moved on to sketch stage outfits for her childhood sartorial icons, the Spice Girls. In college, she merged fine art and fashion in much of her work. She graduated from Tufts University, and was dual-enrolled at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she was awarded a grant to paint in the French Riviera. For Colette, fashion and art have always been inextricable.

La Fille Colette is very proud to be made in the United States and prioritizes socially and environmentally responsible practices. Our garments are produced on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
